Shortly after we found out we were pregnant with our 2nd baby I messaged Dave, as I knew I wanted to continue working out as much as possible throughout my pregnancy. I am a runner and with my first pregnancy my lower back started hurting a lot early on, and I had to give up my running early in my 2nd trimester.
I specifically asked Dave for help strengthening my lower back, he immediately created a personalized program for me, week by week for the remainder of my pregnancy. I did have days when pregnancy would just leave me exhausted and I would not want to work out. But I just tried to keep at it everyday. I know that because of this strength training program I followed, I was able to run into my 3rd trimester this time around. I also had NO back pain with this pregnancy. I would have been happy with just those two results, but on top of that I was able to “bounce back” faster after our daughter was born as well.
I did have to have a c-section because our daughter was breach, but still was able to get back to running/working out 6 weeks postpartum, and just raced my first 5K postpartum this Saturday 12 weeks postpartum and set a new PR for myself, finishing in 24:20.
I am almost back to my pre-baby weight and am very happy to have had the diligent training program from Dave to help me accomplish these goals!
